AbiWord - Programmes free texts processor
AbiWord is a free processor of texts similar to the Microsoft Word. The software has copyright and his use is subject to the terms of the general public license of GNU. The last available version is 2.4.6. AbiWord works in most of the operating systems, UNIX, Windows 95 and later, QNX Neutrino 6.2 and MacOS X.
This application software includes a big functionalities variety to edit texts. Between his functionalities there is the possibility of importing documents written with Microsoft Word. Also, although I have not proved it, Word and Open Office (OpenOffice.org) has reputation of being more rapid than the MS.
